Jennifer Kelly Band is a side project, featuring Jennifer Kelly, (vocals and rhythm guitar) Aaron Hiebert (lead & rhythm guitar) and Jason Edwards (drums). The trio comprise the core members of the band and are completed with the more recent and outstanding addition of Peter Adams (keys) and Ethan Gibbons (bass),
JKB, was launched in 2013 to support Jennifer’s first solo recording project, Nothing’s Lost, and enjoys a faithful following. In 2022, Jennifer’s second album, Stones to the Sea, was released with a lively show right here at Aurora Borealis.
Jennifer, known for soul-stirring vocals, spends most of her musical time bringing the healing power of song to correctional facilities in Washington state. Hailed as “a marvelous Stratocaster player,” Aaron is regularly featured on the Emerald City’s Guitar show, Friends Pick Friday. When it comes to an inspired drum solo, Jason Edwards delivers. Jason is the bedrock of the band, expertly holding the canvas tight, allowing other band members paint liberally!
This event is being hosted by RISE2hope, where Jennifer Kelly is the Executive Director, in celebration of 10 years of programs of hope and healing with our kin behind bars.
